Erect a statue of Nye Bevan the founder of the NHS.

The forming of the NHS, was undoubtly, the greatest achievement this country has ever witnessed. As such it should be aknowledged with an appropriate memorial to its founder.

We can't accept your petition in its current form as it does not call for a clear action from the UK Government and Parliament. Your petition does not include where you would like the statue to be placed. A decision about whether to allow a statue would most likely be the responsibility of the local council in the area where you would like that statue to be. For example, in London, it would be the responsibility of the London Assembly or one of the borough councils.
