Make euthanasia legal in the UK in cases of Terminal illnesses & suffering

What the petition asks
I've got end stage liver disease. Knowing the death I was facing I've tried to euthanise myself lots in the last 2 years, almost successful, but sadly not. I'm now using up a bed at a Mental health rehab unit cos they have to protect me from myself, even though it's not a MH issue, & suffering
If an animal was suffering with the pain & symptoms I, and many others are going through daily, keeping the animal alive would result in prosecution for cruelty. We allow animals dignity in dying, so why do we not offer this option, with extremely stringent procedures in place to protect the vulnerable, to fellow humans? I wanted to just fall asleep, instead I'm being forced to suffer Hepatic Encephalopathy & extreme pain, both of which are extremely distressing. Please help change the law!
