The Vulcan XH558 be taken over by the R.A.F. / B.B.M.F. and returned to flying.

Rejected 19 signatures

What the petition asks

Vulcan XH558 was brought back to full flying condition thanks to various grants and £millions of donations from the public and many hours spent by volunteers. Vulcan XH558 was always a big crowd puller at any airshow she visited and is a great 'ambassador' for British engineering and aviation.
All the staff at Vulcan to the Sky trust have been let go! XH 558 will move into hanger 1 and put into storage, only be allowed to stay there till April, if no new home has been found by then, she'll be moved and stored outside. With no engineers, how are they going to keep her in taxiable condition, something the Heritage Fund said they had to do when they got the grant! No engine runs, taxi runs, no engineers or volunteers and no visits for the foreseeable future for members of the public.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. The Avro Vulcan bomber XH558 is owned and operated by Vulcan to the Sky Trust, an independent charity.
