The rising cost of keeping animals has been blamed on an increasing number of dead or dying horses being dumped.
The RSPCA has revealed that since November last year, it has been called out to 21 incidents across Kent where they found 25 horses which were either dead, dying or in poor condition.
Some 14 of the horses were dead on arrival, nine had to be put to sleep due to their condition and only two survived and are recovering.
