What the petition asks

President Donald Trump should be welcomed to the UK in his capacity as head of the US Government and honour Her Majesty with a State visit and address the houses of Parliament.

The UK and US enjoy a special relationship like no other two countries. While former president Obama wanted to send us to the back of the queue, President Trump promised to bring us to the front and partner with the UK on trade and security. President Trump showed the UK his respect by inviting PM May as the first foreign leader to visit him. Regardless of the opinion some hold of him, as the President of the US he deserves the respect he showed the UK.
