What the petition asks
All news on the BBC has a left wing bias. It is funded by the public. Half the population is not left wing. The public is not being represented.
The BBC is global and can be seen to represent Britain. Well it doesn't represent me.

Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
The BBC is already required to deliver impartial news by the "Royal Charter for the continuance of the British Broadcasting Corporation" and the "Agreement Between Her Majesty’s Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport and the British Broadcasting Corporation". It is therefore unclear what further action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take.
In any case, we would not be able to accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. The BBC Trust is responsible for investigating breaches of the BBC Charter, which includes complaints about the impartiality of the BBC.
