Welcome the President of the USA to the UK and do not withdraw the invitation.

What the petition asks
There has been a ill considered social media, and mainstream media, campaign for withdrawing the invitation made to President Trump. The number of "signatories" has now exceeded one million. This is detrimental to our national interests and not an act of friendship.
I believe President Trump should be shown the respect his office demands and the British public should show they are "Friends of America".
He has been democratically elected and is presently, in the early days of his Presidency putting into action the measures he advocated during his election campaign. The American people voted him in and it it was right to invite him, and it would now be wrong and damaging to withdraw that invitation.
