Legally guarantee the resident status of EU citizens living and working in UK.

Rejected 20 signatures

What the petition asks

We, the people of the UK, seek a guarantee for the resident status of all EU citizens living and working in the United Kingdom at the earliest opportunity of before the triggering of the Article 50 and the commencement of the negotiations with the European Union on Britain's exit from the Union.
We seek to ensure that all EU citizens who have made Britain their home have a guaranteed and documented assurance of their resident status in the UK, following the triggering of the Article 50 and conclusion of negotiations, regardless of the outcomes of negotiations over immigration and entry post Brexit. An opportunity of cost free naturalisation should also be considered.
