What the petition asks
The NHS spent £87.6 million pounds last year on paracetamol tablets which can be bought 20 times cheaper in a supermarket. Doctors wrote 22.9 million prescriptions at an average cost of £3.83. These painkillers can be bought in supermarkets for as little as 19p!!!!
Let us all do out bit and let us help the NHS put its funding to better use. Lets stop prescribing medicines for common colds which can be bought so cheaply and freely in any supermarket or corner shop!
