Make it illegal for event/concert tickets to be resold for more than face value

Rejected 10 signatures

What the petition asks

There is nothing more frustrating than finding your favourite artists tickets have sold out in minutes, and are being resold on for a much greater amount than the face value. We want to support the artist, not ticket touts.
Below are examples of the profits being made in reselling tickets
I have looked at the most recent sell out which is Ed Sheeran. His tickets ranged from £44-£77. I looked at the selling websites to show how much people are selling tickets for:

Gumtree: 2 x tickets in Dublin for £2,000
Seatwave: 1 x ticket in Glasgow, ranging from £190-£515
GetMeIn: 1 x ticket in Manchester, ranging from £132-£550

People are not getting the opportunity to go to an event due to ticket touts making it impossible to buy. It needs to be made illegal for any profit to be made.
