What the petition asks
The German Stock Exchange (Bors) is attempting to take control of the London Stock Exchange and move the headquarters to Frankfurt. This represents the stripping of vital national assets in an attempt to undermine the position of London as the world's leading financial centre.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The London Stock Exchange is a private company. The location of its Headquarters is a decision for its board and shareholders, not the UK Government or Parliament.
