UK Government to remind Sadiq Khan of his duties as Mayor of London.

Rejected 18 signatures

What the petition asks

The Mayor is responsible for making London a better place for everyone who visits, lives or works in the city amongst other duties. We do not see how his constant attacks upon President Trumps policies are in line with his duties. We have a foreign policy minister for this, Boris Johnson.
This article states, “Inadvertently President Trump is playing into the hands of ISIS and Daesh by giving the impression that being a Muslim is incompatible with being a friend of America and visiting America.” Again this surely is not the job of London Mayor? We demand that Sadiq Khan is taken to one side and told to stop playing Foreign Policy Minister. This kind of speech could incite further riots within the US who are our closest allies. http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/763292/Sadiq-Khan-terror-warning-Islamic-State-ISIS-Daesh-Isil-new-highs-Muslim-London-Mayor-warn

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

The Mayor of London is accountable to the London Assembly, which has its own petitions process. You can find out more about how to petition the London Assembly here:
