What the petition asks
How are people with an SpLD supposed to advance in their chosen career if they constantly face hurdles. They do not get enough support in education as it is without having to face battle after battle.
My 21 year old has a diagnosis of dyscalculia. At school she got a GCSE Grade E in maths and has no understanding of the subject. She has a L2 qualification in childcare and wants to progress in her chosen career by taking a L3. She can begin the course but will not pass until she gets a C in maths. This is discrimination.
