Remove the Speaker of the Houses of Parliament - Mr John Bercow

Rejected 20 signatures

What the petition asks

Mr John Bercow is a Hypocrite by allowing another dubious leader to address parliament but stating that he would block the leader of the free world speaking and far exceeding his power and not showing an unbiased position that would be expected of a speaker of the houses of parliament.
Mr Bercow has a history of exceeding his brief as Speaker of the Houses of Parliament many time and each time the excess is getting more. The Speaker of the Houses of Parliament should be completely un-bias as would be shown from a politician in such a focussed position as Mr Bercow is.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

There is no mechanism for the removal of a Speaker during a Parliament. Other than at a general election, the Speaker can only stop being Speaker through resignation or death.

If you like, you could sign the petition below, which asks the House of Commons to debate a vote of no confidence in the Speaker:

Petition the House to debate a vote of no confidence in Mr Speaker Bercow.
