Petition · past parliament

Remove John bercow from his job following his Trump comments.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

John Bercow should be removed from the speakers job as his comments may damage trading relations between the UK and the USA.

Why it was rejected

It was about honours or appointments, which petitions cannot cover.

There is no mechanism for the removal of a Speaker during a Parliament. Other than at a general election, the Speaker can only stop being Speaker through resignation or death.

If you like, you could sign the petition below, which asks the House of Commons to debate a vote of no confidence in the Speaker:

Petition the House to debate a vote of no confidence in Mr Speaker Bercow.
