Remove John Bercow from his position as speaker of the house. He is a hypocrite.

Rejected 20 signatures

What the petition asks

John Berco recently expressed his unwillingness to welcome President Trump and address parliament, this is totally inappropriate and unimpartial. He has in the past welcomed with open arms other leaders with bad records of torture, abuse, sexual inequality and total disregard for him rights i.e China.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

There is no mechanism for the removal of a Speaker during a Parliament. Other than at a general election, the Speaker can only stop being Speaker through resignation or death.

If you like, you could sign the petition below, which asks the House of Commons to debate a vote of no confidence in the Speaker:

Petition the House to debate a vote of no confidence in Mr Speaker Bercow.
