What the petition asks
It's vital to our democracy that the Speaker of the House of Commons show political neutrality. Bercow demonstrated he's lost his when he sought unilaterally to bar a foreign leader from addressing the House based on his own personal political view. All sides agree he has over-reached and must go.
The Speaker is the chief officer and highest authority of the House of Commons and must remain politically impartial at all times.

Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
There is no mechanism for the removal of a Speaker during a Parliament. Other than at a general election, the Speaker can only stop being Speaker through resignation or death.
