Repeal decision to backtrack on pledge to take Syrian child refugees

Rejected 13 signatures

What the petition asks

In a written statement, the home office have stated that the amount of unaccompanied child refugees to be rehoused will be cut from 3000 to 350.
This will leave thousands of unaccompanied children who have lost everything through war and terror without salvation. This cannot be allowed to happen.
“The UK needs to step up rather than step back and ensure that we pull our weight by offering refuge to more vulnerable people and enabling more refugees to reunite with their families here.” -Judith Dennis, Policy Manager at the Refugee Council

"The government has done the bare minimum, helping only a tiny number of youngsters and appearing to end the programme while thousands still suffer." - Tim Farron, Liberal Democrat leader.
