Allow the NHS to provide Biologic therapies for all without limitations.

Rejected 14 signatures

What the petition asks

Biologic therapies for rheumatologic diseases, which are targeted at molecules involved in the mechanisms of the immune system, provide an alternative to the existing treatment methods of disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs and other immunosuppressive medications.
However only a small amount of patients qualify under NICE guidelines, because the treatment is a lot more money. This medication could really help a lot of other patients, who are young and want to get back into work, education and struggle with the side effects of chemo and current ways to treat their conditions.
They want their dignity back. You wouldn't treat an animal the way some patients are having to live. They have effectively been written off before the have had a chance!
