Petition · past parliament

Prevent politicians from attempting to change the will of the people in Brexit.

Rejected 12 signatures

What the petition asks

Brexit was the result of a democratic vote of the people of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. There was a clear gap in the votes.

This vote should be upheld and any attempt by politicians to change this should result in termination of their position.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

The UK Government and Parliament are not responsible for removing MPs from office because of their views or opinions, and decisions on whether to resign are a matter for individual MPs.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
