Petition · past parliament

Amend Fixed-term Parliament Act General election within 6 months if PM resigns.

Rejected 11 signatures

What the petition asks

In previous Labour and current Conservative governments new Prime Ministers have presumed their position without mandate for their own manifesto in a general election. This is undemocratic assuming representation of the UK electorate without their own manifesto being judged in a general election.
