To define marriage as exclusively only between two people who love each other
Rejected

What the petition asks
This in response to the petition that wants to define marriage as exclusively between a man and a woman. Love is love regardless of your gender, sexual orinetion, creed, colour, or any other characteristic! The world needs as much love as it can get, in all its beautiful forms!
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. We're not sure whether you would like all restrictions on marriage - such as laws against being married to more than one person, or marrying family members - to be removed, or whether you would just like the existing law on marriage not to be changed. You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
