Guarantee the survival of the Urgent Care Centre at K&C Hospital

Closed 3,212 signatures

What the petition asks

If Kent and Canterbury Hospital urgent care centre closed it would potentially signal the end of its life as an acute hospital.
The urgent care centre treats patients with acute medical illnesses, such as heart attacks or strokes.
“For patients this means even longer waiting time in A&E, either at Ashford or Thanet.”
Changes to hospital services are being carried out amid a chaotic winter period which has seen patients lying on beds in corridors and the trust regularly breaches the four-hour target for waiting times.
Canterbury is a city which has over 150000 residents and we need a fully functioning hospital. We have already lost our A+E department and if we lose our urgent care centre then lives will be lost.
