What the petition asks

Our family run riding school has been teaching people to horse ride for over 25 years. We have always tried to keep our prices at a fair rate that is affordable, especially for families. We are 100% invested in our contribution to local community by encouraging people to get fresh air and exercise..

have fun, become part of a friendly social group and to interact with ponies on the ground as well as when riding.
This massive increase in Business rates will have a knock effect to our customers as if we don't increase our prices then we will struggle to stay open.
The question is this-do you really want to put small businesses out of business and actually lose money rather than look at individual business and set fair business rates and let them keep trading, therefore bringing in revenue?

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

The Government and Parliament can't change business rates for an individual business.

Lower Business rates in England
Conduct a full review into Business Rates to make them fairer to small business.
