What the petition asks
Disabilities are defined as having "a physical or mental impairment that has a 'substantial' and 'long-term' negative effect on your ability to do normal daily activities" under the Equality Act 2010.
As someone with a variety of connected mental health illnesses, I know that I am disabled under the definition of the Equality Act 2010. So why doesn't the government?
I have help to ensure I take my medication and get washed and dressed on the bad days. I work from home because I can't function in public. Why should I, and so many other people, be discriminated against by judgemental politicians with no medical background?
PIP should be available to all disabled people, no discrimination.
