End BBC Liberal Bias In Reporting Political News

Rejected 12 signatures

What the petition asks

Whenever an opportunity arises the BBC reporting on almost any significant economic or social event happening in the UK, or indeed abroad, is delivered with a negative slant against Brexit. This is resulting in the BBC trying to influence the news rather than fairly reporting it.
Whilst Daily Politics, This Week and Question Time are fairly balanced the major News programmes (i.e. six o clock and ten o clock news) are consistently reporting with a strong anti Brexit bias.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

We can't accept your petition in its current form as it does not call for a clear action from the UK Government and Parliament. The BBC is already an independent body governed by a Royal Charter. Under the terms of that Charter, the BBC is operationally and editorially independent of government and parliament. The Charter also includes rules on impartiality.

If you wish to make a complaint about bias you can find out about how to do so here:

You may wish to sign this petition:

Revoke the BBC's charter and privatise the company.
