What the petition asks
We are trying to get the sentencing guidelines changed for causing death by dangerous driving.
On 2nd August 2015, Aiden Platt, was knocked off his motorbike and killed by a woman in a car.
The driver, was under the influence of 3 different drugs, when she sideswiped his bike.
On 23rd January 2017, the driver was given a 18 month suspended sentence and walked free. The judge ruled that because she had a 6 month old child, she should only be given a suspended sentence.
All this does, is sending a message to others, that it is OK to get into a car under the influence of drugs or alcohol
