What the petition asks

This petition might seem strange at first, but the family visa rules introduced by Theresa May in 2012 see countless British Citizens live in forced separation from their partners, or in exile. The Supreme Court found parts of the rules 'lawful' but that doesn't make them right. Please change them.
"Please, Theresa May, relax the rules for spouse visas..." - Telegraph article, July 2016 http://bit.ly/pleasetheresa

"When people's love is divided by the law, it is the law that needs to change" - then Prime Minister David Cameron, 2014 http://bit.ly/thelawthatneedstochange

"We are proud that here in the UK we are all free to be with whoever we fall in love with" - official Twitter account of the department for Women and Equalities, Valentines Day 2017 http://bit.ly/ukpride
