Stop London & Quadrant making their tenants live in inadequate properties.

Rejected 14 signatures

What the petition asks

I along with other tenants are now at the end of their tethers with living in homes that are causing health issues and not completing repairs. I have been fighting since 2013 to get the issues of damp and mould in my home caused by out of date inadequate windows but L&Q refuse to replace.
Going through the complaint procedures did no good, not even contacting the housing ombudsman. L&Q have had photographic evidence and doctors letter. Their insurance company refuse to pay for loses due to being effected my damp & mould. Does this seem like a legit company? There are a number of forum groups in the social media that all have tenants complaining of similar or same issues. It's now time to take a stand and make L&Q accountable for their dodgy dealings and ignoring complaints

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

The Housing Ombudsman, not the UK Government or Parliament, is responsible for dealing with complaints about housing standards between housing association tenants and landlords. You can find out more about how to complain on the UK Government website: https://www.gov.uk/housing-association-homes/complaints

If the Housing Ombudsman is unable to resolve your issue, you could consider taking legal action against your housing association. You can find out more about taking court action here: https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/law-and-courts/legal-system/taking-legal-action/small-claims/going-to-court/taking-court-action/

You could start a new petition asking for the Housing Ombudsman to be given more powers for dealing with housing association standards.
