What the petition asks
To ensure our representatives are not corrupt or have ANY conflicting interests, all members of parliament must release their tax records for public scrutiny.
We must ensure the integrity of government.
We must ensure the integrity of government.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
The Government and Parliament don't currently have the power to do this. If you would like Parliament to change the law, to require all serving MPs to publish their tax returns, you could start a new petition asking for that.
