What the petition asks

Gorton is a poverty stricken area and Mellands field offers a safe place to play for youngsters as its the only Green space we have left now. Every bit of land is built on, in Gorton. Stop the build Gorton. The plan to ignore the convent for recreational use only and build houses must be stopped.

Mellands has been a popular place for outdoor sports and nature trials for over 3 generations. Many people grew up playing in those fields its an important part of our history. The army camp nearby was built on not long ago so lets keep the little bit of history we have left. Let kids have the great outdoors. Keep our diverse wildlife don't destroy their habitat. Please don't take our green space away. Please lets work together and stop this build. Thankyou in advance Gorton.
