What the petition asks

MPs and Peers are paid through our taxes. Often they can be seen sleeping during debates. Those doing so should be fined for dereliction of duty and fraudulent activity.
Sleeping on the job is not acceptable.
Plenty of evidence to be found on Parliamentary broadcasts.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

Discipline and fine MP's who sleep during in session parliamentary proceedings.

We can only accept petitions about matters that the Government or the House of Commons are responsible for. We can't accept petitions calling on the House of Lords to take action.
