What the petition asks
The MoD have chose to stop the E-Bluey service with a saving of £1M. This is a significant saving and although savings should be made where possible, this is a short sighted cut at the heart of deployed troops morale. There are few things that can lift the morale more than a letter from home.
I can only surmise that those who have chosen to make these cuts are far removed from this system and have never actually felt the elation and continued morale boost that comes from reading them again, especially for those far removed from the comforts of a Ship or Forward Operating Base. The MoD spend over £200,000 a year asking why morale is so bad, start listening to the important things or spend 10 times more on recruiting.
