What the petition asks
Baroness de Souza says she has stopped the investigation into peers who claim the £300 per day allowance but do not attend for fear of a press and public outcry. This is tantamount to condoning this behaviour and the report should be published and the errant peers named and shamed.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can only accept petitions about matters that the Government or the House of Commons are responsible for. We can't accept petitions calling on the House of Lords to take action.
