What the petition asks
My only son ended his life in 2013 at the age of 29, he had a good job, a lovely house and two wonderful children. However unknown to us he was suffering internally. By ending his own life he was treated as a 'criminal' as were we the family.I do not agree that it is seen as a 'crime'.
'The Suicide Act 1961 decriminalized the act of suicide in England and Wales so that those who failed in the attempt to kill themselves would no longer be prosecuted, however we now need to move forward and ask that when the Death Certificate is provided it states. 'Death by suicide'.
More males under the age of 30 are dying by suicide than they are from RTA's and cancer put together.
