What the petition asks
We, the hardworking British population, deserve holidays
Many of us will miss our chance to have a treat for our families if the exchange rate drops further than its current 15-20% drop.
Show your commitment to us by not triggering Article 50 until 1st September.

Some think the timing of the triggering is an attempt by Pro Remain Theresa May to cause discomfort to Britain.
Even if the drop in the pound is tempry we will still lose our holidays.
France and Germany will be changing govonments in the summer.
All we gain by triggering it now is losing our summer holidays.
Mrs May should delay Article 50 until 1st September and let us have our holidays.

Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
The Prime Minister has today written to European Council President Donald Tusk to notify him of the UK’s intention to leave the EU, so it is not possible for the Government to take this action.
