Don't abolish Class 2 National Insurance Contributions for the Self Employed
Rejected
15 signatures
What the petition asks
In 2018 Class 2 NI contributions will be abolished, meaning self employed people earning under £5965 who voluntarily pay this to gain entitlement to the state pension will pay Class 3 contributions instead, a 400% rise, £588 extra per year. This unfairly targets low earning small business owners.
