What the petition asks
We know the importance of attendance at school in the achievement of desired outcomes at the end of education. Barriers to attendance need to be removed
Today, there are girls who are unable to access suitable sanitary protection when they are menstruating and are missing school as a result.
Today, there are girls who are unable to access suitable sanitary protection when they are menstruating and are missing school as a result.
For some families, low incomes are leading to their daughters missing school because they are unable to access suitable sanitary protection. Menstruation is a fact of life for the entire female population and if girls are unable to purchase sanitary towels or tampons they are missing school. Toilet paper is not a substitute for proper sanitary wear.
