Scrap Key Stage 1 SATs this year.

The English and Maths tests for 7 year olds are completely unnecessary. They place excessive stress on teachers, parents and children. The school teacher's knowledge of a child should be enough to assess how well they are doing at school.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. We're not sure whether you would like Key Stage 1 SATs to be scrapped for this year only, or whether you would like them to be scrapped completely. You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
