Make IVF treatment available in all areas of the England

Rejected 20 signatures

What the petition asks

I have very close friends who are really struggling to have the family they deserve and have always hoped for. I feel this is down to the postcode lottery and what help is offered depending on where you live. You're signature could make all the difference
Essex has been named as the worst place in the country for getting IVF treatment on the NHS.

Campaign group Fertility Fairness says three of the county's seven NHS clinical commissioning groups have cut funding for IVF altogether, leaving it down to a postcode lottery as to whether you can get the treatment.

Across the rest of the region it's a mixed picture; Ipswich and East Suffolk currently funds two rounds as does West Suffolk.

In Norfolk, Great Yarmouth and Waveney CCGs funds three rounds of IVF. Norwich funds two rounds, that's the same as South Norfolk, but West Norfolk doesn't fund any treatment at all. Hannah Pettifer reports
