Change the UK passport colour to Pink after Brexit.

Rejected 20 signatures

What the petition asks

Recently there has been discussion of changing the UK passport after Bexit, from burgundy to a different colour.

We propose that the passport be changed to pink to reflect the modern, vibrant & inclusive UK that we live in - to counter the perception of closed mindedness & xenophobia.
In public opinion surveys in Europe and the United States, pink is the color most associated with charm, politeness & sensitivity. (Eva Heller, Psychologie de la couleur - effets et symboliques, p.179-185)

"In the pink" ~ Idiom. To be in top form, good health, good condition. In Romeo and Juliet, Mercutio says; "I am the very pink of courtesy." Romeo: Pink for flower? Mercutio: Right. Romeo: Then my pump is well flowered." - Pink portrays good health, and what's more British than Shakespeare?
