What the petition asks
Why does the DVLA need to print on a licence if a woman is married, but not if a man is?
The DVLA only automatically lists the titles - Ms, Mrs, etc - of females. If males want their title listed, they have to specifically request it. This is a clear-cut case of sexism.

In 2010, an FOI request was sent to the DVLA, and further communication pointed out this anomaly between the treatment of women and men on driving licences:

In 7 years, the DVLA has not changed this policy.
It claims to only add the title when a woman fills in the title in the form, yet not only has this been proven untrue, they do NOT automatically add the title when men fill it in.
This is clear sexism.
