What the petition asks
Russia is allegedly opening concentration camps in Chechnya into which gay & LGBT community members are being rounded up and forced into. These people are allegedly tortured with electric shocks & beaten, sometimes to death.
We want the UK government to increase sanctions & pressure to stop this.

News reports claim that LGBT hate is rife in Chechnya with many people too terrified to speak to journalists or human rights groups for fear of punishment. Many also face honour killings from family members.
