Hold televised debates prior to the General Election
Rejected

What the petition asks
For the last couple of elections, televised debates have taken place before polling day. These debates have informed the public on what each party is standing for, and has enabled the public to field challenging questions. We hereby ask that these debates take place before June 8th.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
A decision about whether to host a debate, and who to invite, would be the responsibility of the broadcasters, not the UK Government or Parliament.
