All party leaders must appear in televised debates on UK television.

What the petition asks
Theresa May has decided that she will not appear in any live TV debates for the General Election. All party leaders should welcome the opportunity to debate with the people and if they are convinced by their arguments, they should take this important opportunity and defend their position.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
This would be a decision for Theresa May to make as leader of the Conservative party, not as the Prime Minister. We can only accept petitions about the Prime Minister’s actions as part of the Government, not as the leader of a political party.
