Petition · past parliament
Stop any MP being investigated for fraud being allowed to stand in the election
Rejected
17 signatures
What the petition asks
If fraud may have taken place in the last general election and is being investigated letting the same people stand could lead to more fraud and be undemocratic. Stoping anyone who is under investigation would stop this threat to a fair election.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
The Government and Parliament can't stop specific individuals from standing for election.
