Theresa May must faceJeremy Corbyn in live TV debates for the 2017 election

Rejected 20 signatures

What the petition asks

For the 2017 General election to be fair Theresa May must debate Jeremy Corbyn to allow the voters a balanced view of the policies of both parties.
Refusing to take part in debates does not allow the voters the opportunity to get a fair view of their policies in the short time before the election

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

This would be a decision for Theresa May to make as leader of the Conservative party, not as the Prime Minister. We can only accept petitions about the Prime Minister’s actions as part of the Government, not as the leader of a political party.
