Open the vote to 16 and 17 year olds in the snap election
Rejected

What the petition asks
If Theresa May's call for a snap election goes through, it is only fair that 16 and 17 year olds are given the vote. Their vote would've counted if the election had taken place in 2020, so it is only fair that under this unusual circumstances exceptions be made.
It is their futures on the line, and they are the ones who will also have to face the repercussions of the election result. Speaking as a 17 year old, many 16 and 17 year olds are just as politically aware as an adult.
