Make the DNA testing of dogs compulsory in order to compile a national database

What the petition asks
The DNA testing of dog mess is already offered by some companies and could be used to find a dog owner guilty of such an offence. The problem is there is no database for the DNA of dogs, and owners are not obliged by law to register them. A database would allow an unequivocal conviction to be made.
