Ask the UK government to reconsider new hate crime proposals.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

We call on the UK government to reconsider new hate crime proposals as it is against freedom of speech crucial to our democracy. A 'hate crime' could be interpreted as literally anything.

Police should be working on the ground protecting the public not wasting valuable time on social media.
Death threats and incitement to violence are already clearly defined in law there is no need for any additional measures.
